Travel U11 & U12

Pomperaug Soccer Club has separate boys and girls teams, with teams entered in either A or B brackets (varying with registrations).  All the teams travel to play teams in Northwest or Southwest District towns.  Games are 9v9 with 35 minute halves and a size 4 ball.  Practice is twice a week with games on Saturdays or Sundays.

Program Approach:

U11-U12: The parent coach(es) will be the primary coach for the games and team management but will have access to their Everson trainer throughout the season.  Practice is 2 times per week and both sessions are run by the Everson trainer.

Basic skills and concepts learned during U11/12:

• Heading
• Crossing
• Passing timing, weight and accuracy
• Juggling
• One touch/two touch
• Shooting angles & accuracy
• Dribbling and risk taking
• Shielding and attacking, pressure
• Communication
• Decision making
• Watching higher level play
• Training for flexibility, speed, strength, agility
• More Goalkeeper development

Registration Costs: 

• $320 each season 
• The club offers Early-Bird discounts (-$20) so register early to save!!
• The club also adds on Late fees (+$45) - as any registration past the outlined dates causes additional work for our volunteers and the timelines that need to be met.
